Hello, I am new to the modelling community! I decompiled a HL model (made for CS 1.6) and took out the shield sequences and hitboxes from the QC file (To make it possible to use it in CS 1.5). Now it looks like the player is running forward, when he moves backward. Any suggestions? The QC file: http://www.ampaste.net/95
Here is some of my very early work in 3d and also my 2d airbrush stuff. 3d stuff is all from around 1997/98, 2d from '89 to '95 . I was clearing my house out for when I move to london next week and found loads of old stuff feel free to post your own
OH MAN CGI AND FMV WAS SO HOT THEN I really hope they get to the 95-98 era demo cds. There's some community goods on them that can't be found on the net no more. What's funny about most of the mid 90s issues is the porn game ads near the end
I got laid off from Day 1. As did 95% of the Silent Scope team. Merry xmas guys. If anyone needs an artist, hit me up. I'm jumping back into the mosh pit of unemployed! It's on Gamasutra now. http://gamasutra.com/view/news/38934/Major_Layoffs_As_Day_1_Studios_Loses_Konami_Publishing_Deal.php
A 1k rpm isn't that high for many 4 bangers. My V8 95 dodge ram idled about 800 rpm, and my i4 06 ford focus idles around 900rpm i think. Techsmith: his first post says its a 1996 Toyota Camry
If you are dealing with Volume Textures you will get what the W is for ;). You are right, setting it to zero should always do the trick. But if you don´t know that, this can really be annoying, trust me. I guess 95% of us never even bothered to go into UW or VW.
Ok wrapping up here, just playing with camera movement/motion blur. I feel like there is too much motion blur :/ [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAgRv9MWHPE&hd=1"]Sci Fi Boiler - UDK game level 95% Completion - YouTube[/ame]
I've got an EVGA 780i motherboard and 2 x EVGA 9800 GTXs and haven't had a single problem in 2 years. I'll also reiterate that if you're only using this machine for 3D and related tasks, SLI isn't that useful or worth the extra money. SLI is 95% for gaming.
95% chance I'm finally going this year, so I'd be down for this and more than happy to help out whatever you guys are planning to do. folio reviews seem like a no brainer, but I'd also be fine doing some live tutorials or q&a about the industry and whatnot.
