Nice start on the props! Was curious if you had a blockout, paintover, or base concept you are working off of? Usually building "final" props before having some sort of idea where you are going with an environment is kind of risky IMO.
I've been working on a study based on Tim Lochner's cool character concept on artstation. Haven't really gotten into the high poly sculpting part, but I think blockout is almost done. I'll probably start detailing the hair next.
First pass done - simple geometry blockout and lighting (visarea + portal for each window). There will be a lot of objects on these large platforms (floors) - like doors, radiators, broken things, debris etc. What do you think so far?
Trying to work on this whenever I have time. Pushing the blockout even further before I actually dive into the details. Parts colored in white still need to be worked on. Also, a few pieces are missing that I plan to add later on.
Nice blockout jess! I have got to ask. What are you using to render? Everywhere i am seeing renders that look similar, even with the blue/red lights on either side. Its driving me insane 0_o.
Been Ill this week :( so couldnt work much on him. Tryin to make him look more like Splinter now. Will start adding some unique TMNT stuff soon. This is a rubbish blockout of what i have in mind
made some more blockouts, added in another asset, some kind of pressure-hatches to cap off the small side-corridors. Still fiddling around and considering how I will texture/light it all and handle the shader-aspect of the scene.
interesting! I never knew ZBrush had an export scale setting. Thats good to know. Sometimes I start with a blockout mesh in Maya and export to ZBrush to get a good base started, but if Im doing rocks or something I just start in ZBrush. Nice to know this option exists. Thanks.
Hey guys, so i decided to no longer just be a spectator and participate in the Bi-Monthly character concept challenge for the first time I decided to go with the wolf concept and ill track down my progress :) Comments and critiques are more than welcome Quick Blockout First progress
Hey there, just decided to share this big boy I am working on. Still some ways to go, but it's getting there! All done in zbrush, trying to figure out the hard surface sculpting and modelling there. Will be changing some things around, especially the legs. Head is just a blockout too at this point.
