Well the textures are coming along nicely I think. Still WIP but far enough along Im not ashamed to share what i have so far. The red glowy thing is a blockout test for the bikes holo ui. It will be vastly improved I promise.
Update Time! Taking a break from hair for a bit to work on the armor. Spending alot of time getting a good blockout for the major shapes and proportions. Once this is done ill have a good jumping off point for mid level details and some bigger accessories.
Finished result: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/QkZWr And blockout phase of big project we're doing in teams of 7 :) . I'm responsible for enviroment art there. The big, white blocks are the monster (bigger one) fighting with the human ;) . It's based on buddhist tale "Prince of Five Weapons"
i have a good understanding of rigging... but i dont rig them myself.... after the blockout the rigger/animator get a version for feedback... and a second time before the texturing... in a lot of cases the rigger needs special geo for cloth or simulation... its a team effort...
Blockout feels good. The size of the space really works for me too. I find people usually cramp subway stations and make them super small. I've been in some that were, but most of them are fairly expansive. Cant wait to see more!
Give this a try https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbpplPXgA74. It's a pretty long video so you may not want to watch all of it but that shows one approach to doing a blockout, using your references to get better proportions. Hope that help!
Is this just the blockout of the level? Reason I ask is because the stairs look like they are BSP. Which if you are using the BSP stairs.... then well you really need to model them. The BSP stairs are dirty and not really meant for production use.
Thanks! Haha, thats exactly what is right now. I just wanted to get some basic composition down and brought the blockout of the first wall piece in the scene and duplicated it a few times. That's why it looks so wrong at the moment. :)
Please write what each pic is representing, right now it looks like you do a strange mix of highpoly and lowpoly and its very hard to tell what you are trying to do there and whats done and what is blockout etc.
Hello @AlirezaMorgan ! I dont have blockout for the scene yet, but i have in mind what i want to achieve. Closest comparison is that 4 images, but my idea pretty far from them. Hope i say it clearly =)
