Yeah for some reason the alHair shader doesn't appear despite me reinstalling arnold a bunch of times and bringing the shaders over from the website , the shader is even in the folder but it doesn't appear.

Sure, it's http://udn.epicgames.com/Three/VideoTutorials.html , and it's the Physics tutorial set. Inside the folder, theres 4 videos. The one that really answered my question was the video "setting up a physics asset".
The Quixel Suite should be located at C:\Users\Public\Quixel\SUITE. Then go to either the x64 or x86 folder and then browse to \bin\Release. There you should find SUITE.exe. Hope this helps!
Store your packages within UDK's file structure so C:\UDK\UDKVersion\UDKGame\Content\ Make a folder in there so you know what is yours and what is vanilla UDK.
So 'Check for updates' is checked but I'm not sure how much that helps since I did re-installed the software. Not sure if it was enabled with the previous installation. Here is what is inside that folder.
If I take the FBX from the Unity project folder and import it back into Max/Maya, the pivot points are in the proper locations, which is why I don't understand the problem I'm getting.
ha! wow, that looks like a great script to have. Unfortunately I don't use Max. I was thinking of making a library just by having a folder of multiple .ma files of an object.
Possibly the video you want can be found in the game folder or on the game CD/DVD? Maybe in an archive or something. Might not work if they use custom codecs or in-house compressed archive system.
