Can't say for sure, but I'm hoping that it is a sign of a serious upgrade to the terrain tools coming sometime soon. Compared to CryEngine and Frostbite, UDK's terrain is very outdated and inflexible. The i7-960 isn't worth the money right now for what you do, save some and go with the 920. I agree with Vig: SLI is a no go, get something rock solid rather than multi-GPU.
