Worked this week on a blockout for an obstacle in my game: A stone pillar for a wizards' tower. The idea is to put a (magical) light into the cavity in the middle to make it a bit more interesting. And here in-game just for a quick size-check (no material applied, that's why it's so dark):
Looking nice man, the concept definitely has that Darksiders feel. keep it up What ZUBILO might have meant was that maybe the handle needs to be a little thicker. At the moment it does feel a little thin to me but other than that the blockout is pretty solid.
Well here we go again. Got used to UE4 so now this whole scene will be done in UE4. Hopefully by the end of this project I will get a better understanding of PBR shaders. Here is my ring so far inside the room blockout.
Here is a update with the environment I have made to pimp the Drone. I managed to get the entire enviro into 1 2048x2048 sheet. The diffuse is just a colour blockout at the moment. I am also in the process of adding some decals in to break it up a bit.
Quick question, how do you take your objects from your blockout and edit them in a new file? Do you just select and drag them into another 3ds max window? It looks good so far btw :D
joarwho: Really nice blockout! I also love the weight in your dinosaurs. Just created my demo reel. Cross-post from my thread. Feel free to rip it apart. [ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AAoTSZYcL0[/ame]
First Blockout Iteration Made the HP with changing the side lights, adding a bottom one, and the main gear of the door. LP and Bakes, exported some parts of the door in zbrush to stamp some Alpha Assembled together, Open Version, Close Versione with a Wireframe
Hey, nice idea. I like the blockout, it's great, especially the face. Although I love the proportions you gave her, I think you need to make her legs and hips thinner to fit the game's stylization for Nidalee. Following this thread! :)
Hey thanks for the feedback Teiyaki, I was going to wait a bit before I did that when more of the blockout was completed at the moment I'm just kinda experimenting with some ideas but your'e right on my next update i'll put in a better render. :)
This has come a long way but I'm starting to finally feel proud of it Really wanted to nail anatomy before continuing with clothes blockout. Been doing a lot of anatomy studies recently and thought this one to be the perfect 'test subject'
