The art style is way off, are you hoping to match it? What are your goals with this project? To make something based off their art, or to make something that could be integrated into the game seamlessly? The second one is what generally get's you a job at your destination studio.
@Rogelio After some tweaking, replacing one noise with another, overall it's complete. I backed off on the crumbly rock, finished off the roughness pass and found out the color was too white on the base and toned it down and it appears more natural than before.
^ Thanks, yup this was based off the R-Type ships. I based mine off the R9A4 - Wave Master Huge fan of that game and wish they would make more. Also to see more images of the ship you can see them on my website.
Only critique I have is that the fluorescent lights (?) are really over exposed. They're blindingly bright, but not in the reflection map, and aren't giving off that strong of a light. Seems a bit off-putting to me. Really like the atmosphere towards the back, gives it an interesting feel.
use the transfer attributes tool. *uv's only *component mode *mirror off *flip uv's off *closest point. have no idea what your up to but that will copy the same uv set from on obj to another. even if its flipped with reverse normals.
Update* Made some more progress, finished off the door and placed, created a vase to decorate the area a bit and cleaned up the model in places, should be ready to take this into ZBrush tomorrow hopefully and finish off the sculpting on the tier while Im at it :D
There is a bug with the Override where Max will enable it even if the button looks like it's in the off state. I have to toggle it on then off again sometimes, after restarting Max. What happens when you open CUI, in keyboard tab, and press S in the hotkey field?
I like the new video... the view from inside is cool I figured you didn't have them come off the runway for reasons like you suggested, but they run off the runway after they go around the corner No biggy... I'd say ship it
At Volition they feed us lunch and dinner.. and at the end of e3 crunch.. we got a few days off extra which was nice. At the end of projects its a little different. On punisher i got a week off. .. ok nothing like a month.. RiiiICK! hehe.
