Hi everyone! I'm starting a new 3d scene and I'm posting the progress here, hoping to receive some useful critiques. I'm following this beautiful concept by Grace Liu (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/GYgx4): This is my first very rough blockout for the basic shapes and proportions:
Got a pretty good blockout going now just hammering out each asset, looking for any feedback. Working off some concept art that i cannot find the link too, and im at work while i posted this. Inside the test chamber is going to be a blue crystal artifact
Here is a scene ive been working on for a little while now. based off of i know i strayed from the concept one the crane and upper walls. The gray is just blockout, crates are placeholders. I could really use some solid advise on improving it, and pushing it alot further

Here is my first very basic and rough blockout in Maya before i take it to UE4 to check the scale and make sure it looks the way i'd like and move forward with more detail. (Not the best screenshot, but one that i think will do for now)
Hello this is my first time doing a scene on my own and I picked Beaver creek after watching the Unreal/Quixel video remake of Blood Gulch. Just wanted some feedback on my blockout and pointers for going forward, thanks.

It can be done though, with years of work. It might help to check out WallWorm by Shawn Olson, he's built a lot of Source Engine level editing tools inside of 3ds Max https://polycount.com/discussion/216468/blockout-tools-for-3ds-max
