Re: Half Life 2 - What was the big deal?
Remember that Half-life 2 came out only shortly after Doom 3. We were all used to samey corridors, tons of the same enemies, guns that just shot stuff and absolutely no story whatsoever. I don't think HL2 is especially special in retrospect, but that's mostly because I rather dislike the heavy railroading. -
