Does anyone have documentation for how maya computes normals for quads? If you aren't familiar with what I am talking about, Maya generates different normal orientations for both force triangulation left/right and quads left triangulated.
Yeah, if polycount is a concern, get rid of that part on the left and scale your pieces up so it fills up the texture. It will then tile from left to right
Looks really awesome! His movement is awkward though, right arm and leg should not be going the same direction, same with the left. It's usually right arm forward and left leg forward.
