Yeah LUT is awesome :) Sean you unleashed it for everyone lol .... Nicely done.. Broke it down about as simple as it really is to do. :) Such a powerful option too as you can drastically change things very quickly
something like these would be good enough where everything is just laid out quickly instead of click, click, click... to find the material/art. Reference for portfolio setup 1 Reference for portfolio setup 2
I still arrow around. I only ever deviated into using keypad for a while when playing Unreal online back in '98 but that quickly ended as my arms didn't have enough resting space.
Snow time! :) No new props, just changed the textures quickly to see if I'm able to change the atmosphere of the level easily. Will build some special props for this theme, like pile of snow balls, icicles and so.
the models looks good, but the textures looks like you used a cloud filter, then quickly went over with some scrape brushes. especially the grip on the beretta needs more attention, it doesn't have enough contrast there.
Well, here's the blendshape list for the Source engine, which works along with their auto-lipsync stuff. No idea how other engines are handling it, but I wouldn't rule out morphing quite so quickly these days....
Hey, great job adam! Your really progressing quickly with this. I agree with stoofoo's crit. Spec is always the trickiest bit, but its so important for a highly reflective object like this. Awaiting the final textures :)
Just quickly looked through the whole thread here, and <3 that is all Or, well. The crysis'ish body armor felt slightly annoying to look at at times. Due to all the lines shooting everywhere. But, that's a minor thing imo.
very quickly, since i'm not sure if it's covered. if i make an asset, such as a rock formation. would i be better using an OS normal map for it, than a TS one? would it produce a better end product?
F this whole floating normal map malarkey, who has the secret tips to make hi res models without the floaty bits. Where is the magic to just make the high res mechanical models quickly.
