My crits are not so much with the model, that looks like you are off to a good start =) My suggestions are about the concept. Lighting: The lighting seems like it is coming from a flash light the artist is shining on a model. Direct light from the viewer isn't always the best way to light a subject. Normally light from…
Tackle shop: Why are the brick on top of the plaster? , you'd be better off using somekind of blend material, hardalpha overlay or decal for this effect. Or just simple incorporate the plaster into the brick texture. Right now it doesn't really come off as worn or degraded. Lighting is very uniform doesn't really expose…
Here are some crits strictly on presentation: The Banner is slightly too big and you don’t need a fancy logo. Unless you are 2d guy it usually better to stay away from logos like these (they can easily come off as unprofessional). The text with the white edges really doesn’t read well. Oh, I apologize I should have mentioned that. There are no hidden object and render hidden is off (I always keep it off), I've checked and double-checked. But then again, if this was the case the artifacts would have been visible regardless of the antialiasing setting.
something I can't put my finger to on the neck seems off.. Her head is definitely off (especial the pointy top) Her feet look to big in proportion to the rest of the body but your in perspective mode so I may be wrong
I agree. I would advise against a long break off. a day off from working on a project could help. but anything longer than that will turn into "ill start back on it tomorrow" and then you will never get back to working on art.
Passerby "Make sure the auto on feature of it is turned off" Where can I found this feature in Maya 2014? Do you mean in Modeling Toolkit switch everything off? - I have it but the problem is not solved. (short snap edge extrude)
