I've just take some screenshots: I have to say that the weapons in this game are IMO by far the best i've ever seen! The animation (pick-up, reload, ecc...) are absolutely beautiful too. Incredible work. What other weapons models did you do in Crysis 3?
new blog post about the weapon dynamics in ZG http://www.nimblebit.com/2009/05/weapon-dynamics-in-zero-gear/ also I am just about set up and ready to start modeling a new kart - I am going to try to record the entire process this time.
Hello, I am Callum Highfield. One of the two 3D Animators on this project. Whilst the character rig and mesh are being worked on I downloaded a rig from the internet and began experimenting with animation stylisation. One of our main character weapons is a rapier, so I researched into how it will move. Here is the most up…
There's some modularity which didn't make it to the presentation shots. For example, it's possible to remove the flak vest and equipment. Also I made a bandaged version for the head. The weapon has some moveable parts. Maybe it would be cool to have a cutscene where he cleans or dissemble his weapon while being dismissed!
I will be in for the Prop-challenge this month. It's a while ago since my last weapon. :) I decided not to go strict for one version of the axe but to merge few details from axye 1,2 and 3 into one weapon. So far I did the modelling and started with the textures: 2048x2048 Diffuse only 920 Verts
Hey, if you really really enjoy doing weapons, keep doing them!! Like if you seriously can put in tons of hours a week tweaking a weapon to look just right, keep going. Check out this interview.. I think it will be useful/inspirational. http://2dgeek.com/interview-with-reno-lonewolf-levi/
The concept of the weapon isn't terrible. It is kind of blocky though. The stock doesn't feel right at all. Too many straight lines add some curves in there. The grip needs work also unless however you are making the weapon who can palm 3 basketballs at once. Other then that its close. Keep at it.
Hi, your thread was in the wrong section (Counter-Strike: GO) so I moved it for you into the right one (CS:GO Weapon Finish Contest). However your thread title isn't following the rules correctly. You should probably re-read the rules, located in the thread CS:GO Weapon Finish Contest.

I also agree that I don't think your weapon's tri count should be as high as for what it is. It's almost as much as your character without having as much detail. Think about what view your weapon will be viewed from, 3rd person, 1st person? That should help you optimize a bit.
