In the spirit of #screenshotSaturday, I thought I'd post what I've been working on today. I took a break from my regular work and just geeked out over Yoshitaka Amano and Quina from Final Fantasy 9. I will probably just do a hi-poly of this and stop there, but suggestions and advice is always welcome!

Number 9 After some quick feedback off @Elithenia thank you again, I've started to turn off symmetry when I move up a subdivision level, took me a while to get used to it, but overall I believe it's helping with the likeness I can start to work towards now.
If you have problem with the scale when you duplicate (strange thing, I dont know why happen), I could advice you to use maybe this plugging to copy-paste position/scale. https://www.zbrushcentral.com/t/scale-offset-copy-paste/213901/9 I hope this could help
There's a really quick showing of creasing and dynamic subdivision at around 9:45 in the first video on this page: http://pixologic.com/zbrush/features/ZBrush4R7/ I think they showed some more of it in the summit demos as well, but it's been awhile since I last saw them. That's where I first saw them though.
I sat opposite a guy using these in work for a few weeks. He used it pretty much 9-5. Blowing second hand nicotine crap into the air we were breathing. I was not impressed and nor were the others in the room with him. Be cool and don't use it indoors around your co-workers ;)
You know what annoys me even more? When you have two options for a DVD menu and you cant figure out if there's anything that makes them different, I watched District 9 twice just to figure out if there was a difference between Alien and Human, and I still don't know.
Hey, thanks for your reply! I used 9 different haircards (see below), and only 2 textures - Albedo and Specular I experimented with normal map and glossiness map, but got the best results with a quite simple setup. I will come back to the texture and material in the end for another polishing pass though..
Pretty much the same experience for me with the demo. I'm not a big fan of Final Fantasy anyway though. I like the SNES games and 9, but I don't care for most of the rest. Even though the games don't usually hold my attention, I do think they always look really impressive.
Dude seriously.. do you want to make this your profession? If so then freaking hell, man up! because what you are describing is freaking easy street compared to professional life. 9 months for 12 characters? hah! 5 days per character is what the 3d artist at my studio get.
