Eazy, I've been happy using the GoDaddy.com hosting solution for two (going on three years) now. They even have a very friendly GUI ftp interface for loading all your web files onto your purchased hosting space. It costs me about 45-60US dollars per year for domain name renewal and hosting space. Not bad! Good luck man.
I tried Blender more than a year ago while I was studying Python. It's a great app, but the interface was terrible. They've had many significant updates since then, so I hope the UI was one of them. The screenshots look great. I'll give it another try soon. I know Cheap and KDR have a lot of luck with the program. And the…
Install rockbox on your ipod, it replaces the normal ipod firmware and is pretty awesome. Just drag the mp3's in your ipod like a usb drive. It can also play alot more formats than just mp3. And theres also alot of extras that come with it like interface skins and some games. You can also play doom with it which is pretty…
FX Composer still requires you to do quite some coding, it's not a full visual interface like ShaderFX. On converting: Once again, ShaderFX can export straight to Quest3D syntax. If you want to convert existing .FX code, then there's no other way than to learn HLSL. There is no automatic tool to do this for you. It's…
I think you're talking about Organica. I can't seem to find it online though the company website seems to be down. http://www.coolfun.com/ Here's a screen shot and some stuff some guy made, maybe the interface looks familar? http://www.shaders.co.uk/graphics_factory/organica.htm 3dsmax has a metaball object in it called…
For your obsession with tweaking lines and vertices, try the "set flow" button in 3ds max or try to find something similar if you work with another package. Edge/face constraints are also really good for tweaking, topologik has a neat tool for relaxing vertices while staying on the mesh. Slowly build your interface with…
if you give the button a name you don't need to declare global variables for each interface element for example: button -label "mybutton" -cc "mybuttonPressed()" mybutton; the above code will change the label on the button called 'mybutton' but then will print a message when the button is pressed.
Thank you so much vahl! I used the Q3 radient tool back in the day and I've been itching to make a level and character. I thought about using the Unreal ed but it's too dated at this point although I would like to get familiar with the interface so I'll have a jump start when the Unreal3 ed is available. Keep up the great…
I think it's rather cool that i can chose from 10 games that have a feature i really like, rather than being damned to play a crappy game that's the only one who has this 1 incredibly cool idea that forces me to see it through... This doesn't apply to user interfaces in the RTS market but fortunately Total Annihilation…
Hitting the scale button more than once switches between the scale modes, which can be annoying because you often hit it accidentally when you already have scale tool on, thus cycling through the modes. If you want to disable this behavior, you can change the hotkey from "smart scale" to just "scale" in the Customizable…
