This is what masking is for. In your example you would mask everything except for the eye (it might be faster to mask just the eye and then invert the mask). http://docs.pixologic.com/user-guide/3d-modeling/modeling-basics/masking/
hey, glad my thread is being used in the way I intended it to be used. The gun looks great and the material is really good except for one thing; Like the others said, it needs to be darker, especially the handle!
Pretty much - I don't see any difference between going out to max for your UVs and going to something like roadkill (except licensing costs which I'm going to assume are a moot point)
IIRC Bodypaint had a way to assign a bunch of different effects to one brush, so it could be painting diffuse + reflection + bump all at once. I wonder if something like that could be done, except with Clone?
you've got some strange shapes going on in the texture, notably the lips/nose area and forehead, and everything feels very undefined except for the eyes, which are very sharp and bright. can you post the diffuse?
Hey Joe, some additional info. This happens on a fresh scene with nothing in it except one imported model. My set up at home is win 10 pro dual monitor geforce 970gtx driver 364.51
It's not new tech, but it's a new product, Nintendo has so far not been in the "loss per product" bussiness (the recent 3ds cut being the exception), they thrive on hardware sales, sony and ms thrives on software sales.
yep, your right..the hands only had flat color with nothing except ao/cavity map, thanks for reminding me! Forgot all about them till now... :poly136: here's a shot of the palms..
I am really liking the background depth thats been added in the last update. This is going to be a stellar piece when its done. (except those trash bags need some refrence love :P)
Of the many times I love to see huge, inflated nipples on characters, I think this is one of the very few exceptions I think the concept might sell better without them. Lovin' it so far :)
