Yeah, it's most likely what Treece said - Shift+F is the default hotkey for this IIRC, try hitting that.

Change the size of the default font in Windows, that why the UI is broken like this. Unfortunately there is no other solution for the moment.

Jack, if you turn wireframes on and save it when you view it, wireframe mode should be on by default for that model.
