Yeah, I got spoiled on that, it got to the point where I didn't even have a portfolio anymore. I quit my 9 to 5 game job around the end of January, I've been getting a few small freelance jobs through connections but I really need to get my butt in gear and make a portfolio.
How long have I been? Or how long will I be here? I've been here for a year and 9 months, I have a work permit that lasts 3 year and I can extend it, but as long as I have legal status to work in Canada I can be working for Gameloft, barring any other factors.
Progress: Added other mountains. Testing the composition. Since most likely Im gona render the final image in 16:9 ratio, I have to make some adjustments to the block out by adding more background elements. Still working on the Camera angle. Cant wait to finish the block out and start detailing the scene.
My post re sub number was based on OPs post #9, regarding eligibility: But you are correct, you just need to verify your account and link either your website or your +page, to get access to the custom URL feature. Thanks for pointing that out for me, something that I'm going to do for my own channel :) .
I've seen various interviews/videos on pixar. In one video, a manager talked about how their problem wasn't making people stay late, but was actually getting them to go home and have a life. I'd also heard that they send them home at the 8 or 9 hour mark on most days. That was years ago though...
Been mainly working on tile stuff this week. I have a floor one that splits into 9 and a wall one that splits into 6. That one i was experimenting with glowy bits and transparencies. It looks like poo in udk, I don't know how to handle those weird shadows and make it look like one big wall.
<3 Hope you get a textured final. : ) Regardless, great design with great execution. If you're going to go the whole 9 yards, I'd love to see your low poly topology & normal mapping projection workflow. Your weapons are some of the most solid pieces of gameart I've seen, and I want MOAR.
It's just Michael Moore kinda crap....taken out of context can be bad just like Farenheit 9/11. Otherwise it's just funny. He's a human being just like us...well some of us. The man has a sense of humor and weaknesses just like you and me. Cut him some slack.
[ QUOTE ] Jeez, what an asshole. I remember being scared shitless by Thriller when I was little, I couldn't imagine getting shown this thing. [/ QUOTE ] Ahahaha no way! Thriller made me stay up for 24 hours straight for the first time after I saw it premier on MTV when I was 9.
