I'm learning rigging, and looking for a good tool for weight-painting. I'm using Maya but the weight-painting tool in Maya is confusing, I cant understand. Sometimes the influence of one bone affects other bones, and I have to repaint... I remember the weight-painting process in Softimage was so easy to do, why it's so…
Hi Guys, PLEASE help me solve this extremely annoying issue. When I try to 3D paint, the color I am painting doesn't match the color swatch at all. If I eyedropper a color in my texture, the color I actually paint is WAY too light. What is happening???
I came across this Program while looking for a painting program that allows you to wrap around painting to create seamless textures....Its appears to be freaking awesome for hand painting textures. Check it out. Its something Adobe should have had years ago. [ame] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ICGks0-InQ[/ame]
I have to stop the painting of all constructions to fix up some bad Houdini generation of the vertex painted meshes, I have noticed, and you can imagine fix up about 39 constructions one by one, since the previous ones were ok by manual fixes. But now it's ok, also I found some nasty bug to triplanar material where I look…
I am painting the alpha channel of the vertex, but I don't want to see the transparency in the viewport. I want just to paint a black/white mask. Can I do this?

Heya, this is for those of you that have an iPad. Maybe you haven't even considered using it for painting textures, but I'm here to tell you it's not just possible but also a pretty great experience in Procreate. I put together this little guide on how to set up a project to be able to paint seamless textures:…
Actually, that's probably my 2nd question. Does Hand Painted mean, Hand Painted="Looks" painted, i.e. an artist painting a picture. OR... Hand Painted=use of Photoshop skills + Wacom + optional (Zbrush/Mudbox) I don't have any experience in the game industry so I wouldn't know the answer.
Awesome ! , looking good in cryengine. Also i wanna ask about the 3D painting, are we going to paint on the model realtime like mari and zbrush ? or we`ll paint on the 2D Maps and check the results on 3DO ? And will we be able to paint different maps ? like normal , that would be awesome or paint masks??
