Freedom from retail hell!!!!! ...but I assume this will only get worse, especially after x-mas. (Oh dear god, boxing day...) Sooo... I'll take the popular vote of a job :D
Pencil is the only medium that gives you a total freedom on subject/forms/proportions etc.. That's my opinion and that's why I am actually studying hard to overcome my actual poor sketching skills...
The rigidness of the first few pieces is hard to get rid off without just making the models look skewey. But the houses and such down below will give me quite a bit more freedom for their flow and shape.
@Justo, It depends on the type of studio and your skill set. The big advantage is that there is a much higher demand for tech artists out there thus giving you the freedom to be more picky about where you work.
there was a rts unit thing once on cgchat...that let people enough freedom to do what they want (characters, environment, vehicle), is lowpoly, and vast enough to put an additionnal theme... I second MoP on enviro
I know what you mean, but to borrow a phrase, "freedom isn't free." In short, good citizenship requires a constant vigil. Apathy works against us all. Anyhow, just a personal aside.
Thank you! I appreciate that. That was a particularly fun piece in that I had the freedom to not only animate the shot, but I came up with the concept itself. Finding an entertaining collaboration between these two characters was great
There isn't much freedom with glow at the moment, but we are looking into setting up a system that'll give you a bit more control over your glow settings on a layer by layer basis for a future version.
WOW! your on some next level shit here. this stuff looks great! did you get alot of production concepts or were you kinda able to have a little freedom with some of the assets?
A pity there's no online play nonetheless, you get hours of grinding gameplay. I'm getting this just for the cool game art and nothing beats spending hours to get that cool looking piece of armour. http://www.gametrailers.com/player/24268.html
