normal mapping for games
hey guys, quick question. I come from a film background and haven't done any game work but was wondering about normal mapping for games. I know with gams, UV and texture space must be optimized. so lots of times the left and right arm with have the exact same UVs. how does this affect normal map generation in a package… -

Thanks for the tip. The CGWorkshops seem very reasonable. Not sure what times the courses are though. I've looked into the Gnomon online courses, but most are a little too late for me, being on the east coast. 10pm-1am. I might have to bite the bullet and do one of them though. -

i know someone who would literally get calls from producers at 1am in the morning to come back into work. and that was in the animation dept. some of the others even worse. they have also been in numerous lawsuits for not paying overtime etc. they lost.… -
