Last couple of renders were just messing around with Compositing, trying to get the best colors and values. Though looking at my previous posted pic I suddenly have doubts I improved anything =) :# . I think I better wrap this up and call it FINISHED before I spend even more time tweaking values.
take care of the wood and the as said, add more history to it. Right now its kinda plain. The model is neat. you just need to eye on the wood details which is more prominent. The wood might look more Raw and bumpy, like its hand made and might even have some taped or something wrapped around. Cheers Vj
:) thanks glottis, but that was Lamont there giving me a hand. I've learned quite a bit since then, have yet to implement it en masse in the scene. well i've been all over the place except for 3d lately, but now I'm back to wrapping this baby up. feeling good for the end of this month, give maybe one week for love &…
Looking great guys n gals! @jewski-bot Love the texture work! What are you using to texture? I think adding some lighter, worn areas to the protruding parts of the grip wrap will give it some depth. Also maybe changing up the star hues a bit so they arent all the same. Looking great though!
@Protokoll_Studio Thanks! Other than antennas the golden plate will also be visible. @lotet Thanks! Here's some new stuff. Working on the trailer: Drone model is integrated: Turret deploy! Player can change active turrets by clicking on them: And trying to wrap up the ship. I made some small changes, orange parts are still…
Basic- Party Dress Today I just started with a basic tube dress. I just wanted to get back into the workflow. It took a bit longer than expected because I was learning how to use maya's blend shapes to wrap the retopo'd mesh around the high poly dress. There are notable mistakes with this- I intend to learn from them.

Aye, they do. We've got these at work and they are AWESOME. I completely suggest getting one if you have the cash. http://www.csnchairs.com/resources/hermanmiller/aeronchair.asp I've never been able to wrap my head around using a tablet for 3D Studio Max though... it feels so strange going back and forth between zbrush and…
Junction Point, they just wrapped up Epic Mickey2. I can't remember if they are owned outright by Disney or if they just are under contract. But either way he is working for "The Family" and will probably stick around so long as they keep making good games. I just hope they get to make the games they want and don't get…
lookin good. I think it looks a bit strange that they're are mostly all one metal material. Maybe if you added another large element like skylight in the room up top, or a big non yellow vent with a bunch of non yellow pipes coming out the back and wrapping around to the front. Kinda like a big wound.
