Site is solid. The work is decent, but the choice of pieces is a bit odd. Being a prop artist is a position that isn't as widespread as environment artists, which handle props and everything else in the environment. The problem is that you only have a couple isolated props, but haven't tackled any environment related…
you dont/shouldnt build environments around props, they should be placed in the environment as suits the environment, although its not a one way process there should be some back and forth, deffinatly start with the environment, then once done or at least well on its way think about propping it out. too many environments…
I think the important thing to ask yourself, what would you like to do? I see you have a lot of props, which is what I assume is what you're aiming for, but you have a human sculpt in there. I would pick a specialization and cut out anything that doesn't align with that. Then ask yourself, what would you like to work on or…
Finished the prop quite quickly! Made a high poly sculpt in Zbrush, did some retopo and textured it within Substance Painter. Overall little issues and got it done pretty fast. I did have to take some creative liberties regarding the design though, because it was hard to figure out some of the perspectives of its parts. In…
Thanks for the feedback Alemja. I agree re the faces. My problem was probably always with the photorealistic side, never quite got in to making faces that are meant to be hyper realsitic. I think the cartoony/ semi realistc suits me more, so might cull some more of my faces . I realise there area lot of Arnold rendered…
Thank you for the feedback! To answer your questions: 1. Yes, I am definitely planning to model an outboard motor for the rear end. Right now, I am in the process of gathering proper reference blueprints, photos, and technical data to get it started. 2. For the Grand 850 itself, I used official layout schemes and dimension…
Here's another prop-drop: old washing machine: photopaper: plastic box tin can: Still a lot to do, will probably do the photos on the wall next :) C&C always appreciated!
Necro :poly136: Picked this back up a couple days ago. Started it last year as a prop for a character artist 'round here. But that project got dropped, and so this laid dormant. Anyway, here it is.
Ok thanks anyways ^_^ If you need any modeling just drop me a line. I'm happy to make a few props or a longer project if needed. Keep up the great work guys.
