feedback, hmmm, its an early stage ...nice blockout , as the same way we create levelart protos in our company and most env-art made by the same process, keep do it )
Why don't you just blockout the walls and place the windows on top of them? Nobody is going to be seeing the interior so just do a paintover for the glass and some emissive for the light are fine
@candystripes05 - thanks for pointing that out, ill do that once ive finished the roof :) The reason you havent seen the roof yet because its still in its blockout stage haha
WIP4 4 tone now. Defined the cannon arm and made some small adjustments to the legs. Onto the 3D blockout. Concept can still change if anything stands out to anyone.
I think they look great. Have you tried using Sketchup for blockouts to draw on top of? Quite a common workflow these days for quite a few concept artists. Not a bad thing at all.
lol. There is a character for games class going on at gnomon with onelunglewis, and the students are posting their assignments periodically. So, before we were in the blockout stage and now we're working on our highres :D
New blockout, which I forgot to upload And the sculpting process so far. I might have went too noisy, will most likely make some bigger planes in there again.
Did a little bit of work on the blockout. Found the spring tool worked infinitely better than the helix for the drill ridges. I also upped the iterations for rounding out the biggest shapes.
Uhm. You did read the bit where he said this was basically a blockout, right? That's not a render, that's his reference. Looking good so far. It'll be interesting seeing this come together.
you and your DOF... i want to scatter garden gnomes or plastic soldiers all over the place. excellent work so far! can't wait to see a blockout or additional concepts :)
