google "thirding" term. If you are brave one you can look directly to polycount wiki cause it is covered there as well. You know polycount have wiki as well right? EDIT: does not matter what engine are you using... It is general technique.

loving the normal boobs, not so fond of the manboobs -this raises an interesting thought however, why doesn't polycount have a babe thread, or we could just make it "ATTRACTIVE PEOPLE THREAD" so that incase there are any female polycounters (?) they can post also?
Not sure if I follow you here, I'm already logged in to Twitter. But for some reason, it won't link Polycount to it anymore. I also deleted all my cookies and disconnected Polycount from my Twitter and tried it again from there but still no results :/ .

hi dan! welcome to polycount! Why do you want your polycount to be so low? Do you plan on normal mapping this? Just to let you know, characters are on average 10k polygons in games. So environments are usually a lot more!
i did, but it looks good when you have camera like on that image i posted, but it looks too flat when you saw it from the ground, so i decided to go a bit berserk with the polycount. :P If it becomes problem, i'll try to reduce polycount somewhat. Tnx!
