I quickly refined my model to a more finished blockout. Its at the limit of triangles I can use and I havent even done the face yet! Some small adjustements.
Sorry its been awhile since my last update. I just finished the blockout in UDK and am currently working on UV unwrapping my assets to begin texturing. UDK
Here is the concept I am working from: And here is my current progress on the blockout: I know its a little early but if you have any crits please share them! :)
Its not required, but I personally like to see that stuff, a good blockout is always important when working off a concept, but I've see some amazing stuff start in dynamesh as well.
Hey Dan! Enviro blockout looks promising, excited for you to pick that back up again. Vehicle is looking super nice too, I'd also be interested in seeing some flats!
@gsokol My thoughts exactly, I plan on getting some sort of grating or mesh down there today. The blockout SHOULD happen today, at least, that is one of my goals. Thanks for the tips!
Oh that hasn't been made yet technically that is just blockout geo left over that still needs to have the final mesh changed out for it. Should have maybe explained that before.
These would be perfect to give to a concept artist, and the blockouts could also be used to start modeling while the concept is being worked on. I wonder if this workflow could work well in a studio environment.
feedback, hmmm, its an early stage ...nice blockout , as the same way we create levelart protos in our company and most env-art made by the same process, keep do it )
Why don't you just blockout the walls and place the windows on top of them? Nobody is going to be seeing the interior so just do a paintover for the glass and some emissive for the light are fine
