As I understand, you made it before the contest started and didn't post any updates, so I'm not sure if it can be qualified for this contest. It is quite good item for workshop, but I think it should be submitted outside of this contest.
looking great man! i cant wait to see it submitted dont forget to prepare a nice presentation and thumbnail, that is not much important for the ingame model but helps attracting views on the workshop and more feedback the animations and model are great!
Hi @Wyk! glad to hear of such responsiveness to the community of ugc-artists! But unfortunately for the two years of attempts, I never got a moral right to get to the tournament as a true workshop-artist... Have a good time on TI5 сомяадеs!)
Why not put it on the Greenlight Concepts section (free btw)? See the interest and build a following. Its what we plan. http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/browse/?appid=765§ion=concepts&p=1&numperpage=30
Well, I hope I will pack all the available polygons right. I think сhivalry limits are pretty fat, I'm also working in dota 2 workshop and there is a luxury if you have 500 tris limit.
Looks pretty fun... Can't afford the time or money to go, but usually these sorts of events are pretty inspiring. Reminds me of the early Conceptart.org workshops...learned more in 4 days at one of those than in a year at artschool.
Scott Eaton is awesome. Love his workshop. Learned so much from his course, much more than what I've learned in collage. And my collage's anatomy class was already a great class imo.
If you want a taste of new Hammer give the Dota 2 Workshop Tools Alpha a download. It might be a little slow and crashy for you but you'll be able to get an idea of some of the workflow improvements they've been working on.
It takes time. And I don't think I have seen you pimp an actual piece of work. A workshop or course might help you if you struggle with the basics, or you might want to look at training dvd's.
Looking forward to this one (might even give the chosen theme a spin myself). Was personally disappointed in the choice of the Games Workshop genres myself as I liked the idea of ShadowRun, so this is of more interest to me full stop :)
