I didn't noticed much of a problem with the noise at 100iso even with a bit of underexposure considering I shoot when a day is not too dim usually . And I do flat subjects mostly: all kinds of a ground surface. rock surface etc . Around 50 shots for 7x12 meters of a surface or something. It works very well on that. I…
Hey there, Registered just to resurrect this. The thing about ZBrush and Pixologic is they have a clear plan. There are many big brands out there that make certain kinds of productions a lot easier because it is their niche and ZBrush is constantly moving towards their own niche as well. I am no professional, no master,…
Try and get some more depth in there. Everything seems to be a very neutral tone, push your brights and your darks that way things will stand out. Because right now the it seems very flat, since it's so low poly that's inevitable but the texture is supposed to hide the flatness and in your case it's not yet. Specifically…
I looked up what anodizing is and found this: "Many metals are structurally weakened by the oxidation process, but not aluminum. Aluminum can actually be made stronger and more durable through a process called 'anodizing'. Anodizing involves placing a sheet of aluminum into a chemical acid bath, quite often acetone in…

Hey man, i like the units a lot. However, they show strong, interesting shapes WAY more than your 2d work or your houses. I think you focus too much on surface detail and material and let that noisy detailed stuff bog down your image a lot. Real life is way simpler than one makes one's self think-- the areas that are not…
lol, i really dont care about it mathemetically being is perfect center. i usually get it looking good eyeballing whether it is hard surface or organic and thats all that matters. you say my method is less freedom, how so ? it was a simple topology edit, not much to it really. now, if i was doing something scientific with…
Thanks for the example Ruz. I think we can both agree that this is a fantastic piece of 3d art and the artist who made this deserves all of the credit they recieve. It is also however a great example for me to use to explain what i am talking about, even the smoothest areas of the model are still a little bit lumpy…
The protruding handle shape can be completely removed leaving a flat surface that still has the texture for the handle in the right place - including the normal map. Assuming it's been executed well, there should be no visible difference once the model is far enough away for the silhouette of the handle to be insignificant
Whenever I do a Boolean difference, both my objects disappear. I am doing this in Maya 2014. Normally I'd just give up and multi-cut the details I need but that takes more time than it saves. Especially since this error happens all the time. Here is what I have done to resolve this. >Mesh cleanup with non-manifold and 5…
