@praetus Added way more rubble around the areas where the roof had caved in, made the floor look more broken as well in those areas. @gfelton @amirabd2130 Tweaked the lighting some more, hope it reads better now! @Nicorepe It's a good idea, but they don't have that in the indoor areas from Bloodborne I'm trying to…
It is totally possible. You're going to fail (at times) but it is part of the process. You should be learning from your failures and applying them so you can get better. Very nice work. I have been also work on mid-poly asset for game recently (although I can't really show it right now). Stormsword tank, and right now it's floating around 80k tris. If someone wonder it's not for game, just personal project (;. 50k tris is not much. If we look at star citizen, space fighters have about 300k…
Brute force and time... Model it in it's extended form, add a CRAP-TON of joints, skin it, beat your head on your keyboard as you discover ways you fucked up, try not to commit suicide while slogging through the repetition. IF you where a rigging and scripting guru you could probably find ways to script large portions of…
currve - Thanks. I'll try and rough it up a bit more. Kharn - Yeah, looking at my reference again, the handle is a bit too big. You're probably right about sword handles not being cylindrical, but it looks like this one is: http://www.sword-buyers-guide.com/kris-cutlery.html Deforges - Thanks heaps for that example. I'm…
i still think you are gettin a bit nuts on the scratches on things, the tall green pillars have scratches all the way up it, what would be tall enough to be constantly bumping into them things to wear the corners up that high. the other day in target i confused my girlfriend by taking her shopping cart and trying to…
You need to start experimenting on your own. Pick something you think you know how to do, then try and do it. Question every step you take. If you don't have any idea how to get started on even simple things, then you're going to have to watch more tutorials. Try something really simple like making a crate or a cardboard…
Your FOV is set to 133 degrees, which is very wide. A previous version had FOV bound to the mousewheel, but I think we changed this in 2.05 so its ctrl+mousewheel so its harder to accidentally change the FOV. If you're still using 2.04 you should update to 2.05. You should probably spend some time setting up nice lighting.…
So I guess i need to 1st output one sbs per textureset (udim) then output each bitmap per SBS if I understand correctly... Trying to replicate the Dneg workflow, to my modest shitty technical level as I m so noob in SD that I will never be able to touch them, especially not using such advanced feature like the pixel…
I think it is a big part of the challenge for 3d artist, gathering all these different types of reference and making sense of them. It is somthing I am struggling with a lot, but there is one thing I found that helped me. Video. Or even better, real life. In either case, being able to study your subject in motion from all…
