I did a linked in search for People in the game industry who list Max, Maya & Softimage in their skillset. This is the breakdown: Maya: 24,654 Max: 23,894 Softimage: 892
To add on what already have been said, you may not want in current production workflow to jump straight and bevel 2300 edges. Also there's your machine to take in consideration when it comes to heavy process like that. PS: Softimage is great.
Cool, I was wanting to try this test again with my new monitor. Scored a zero on my CRT last time. Now with my new Dell 2311h I also got a zero I'm glad to see it's got good color accuracy though a few of the blocks seemed to be a little off contrast wise.
If anyone's interested, here's a good read on non-combat gameplay. It's mainly focused on RPGs, but it can be applied to other games as well. http://www.irontowerstudio.com/forum/index.php/topic,231.0.html

Warotic: I have to admit I don't fully understand how jpg compression work. I can't completly predict what my image file size will be. I'm using irfanview and I noticed that exif and other data can increase your file size even if you have nothing in it. The quality compression can ruin completly my picture even at low…

Add to this a way to retrieve windows from off screen. If you've ever put a window on your second monitor then gone to work on the file on a system that doesn't have a second monitor you know how frustrating this is. Then you have to delete the 3dsmax.ini file to reset max to defaults and go through the hassle of setting…
