The Kindle App for the iPhone has multiple settings to invert the text, so you dont have a bright light staring you in the face. It supports the font scaling and all, i really dont think it'll be a lot of strain on the ipad. The only downside would be reading in the sunlight - where the iphone and most likely ipad screens… -
