Whenever I want to edit the UVs of a model, all the vertices jump and stay at the top-left corner of the UV editor. Restarting Max or resetting XForms won't fix the problem. Halp?

but with a texture layered over a hill mesh , it would look flat or like if the coins are glewed on it rather than vertically placed .

alternatively, tile on the axis you'll be wanting them to match on. Splitting vertically a horizontally tiling piece is not helping. Good luck!
