Me too, even beyond that, I get PM's from people who I've spent a good deal of time writing a critique/response to, or pm's directly related to one of the rather large threads if written/contributed to in tech talk... Like people are afraid to look dumb or something so they contact me via pm. To me this is just a pain, and…
It being realtime isn't what people are sceptical about, there hasn't been any concrete proof to anything. we're talking about the claims of unlimited detail with limited memory and no details on memory-usage (and this is when not looking at any of the other issues involved) replace the ray with a search and everything…
well, that's the thing. how can you develop a character without putting them on screen? I mean, I could argue that Bumble Bee was in almost the entire movie. Yeah, cost is a lame excuse, but when you take into consideration that these were the single most complex models ILM has ever built, it's got to mean something. We're…
What's better to have in your portfolio between: -low polies optimized for games cutting details (less geo) in areas that are not visible for the player (e.g. a relatively complex grip for a gun) these areas are clearly visible in portfolio shots and look bad, also in this case I just slightly redesign some details to end…

I don't see how your tone doesn't count. It makes up a great deal of communication. I didn't need to imagine anything, if I was I'd have been the only person arguing with you throughout this thread. Ok I re-read it and this is how it went: [other people] Let's discuss this problem. [other people] I know, how about this.…
Hello everyone, I wondered if there is a way to warp the projection of a texture by hand in substance painter? It would look better for clothes but I have never seen someone talk about it, is there a way to use the normals (as in baked normals) of the mesh to do that or to hand paint where one wants the projection to be?
Hey guys, first post here. Just finishing up the armor on this character then onto the low poly for the armor, the character is already retop'd low. Feedback / Critique is always welcomed. Thanks for your time.
