Yeah, just tackle one piece at a time. You can stare at it forever trying to figure out the best way to get into it. Shouldn't be too bad once you get started. Good luck, should be a fun one.
I'm starting to like you Mark Dygert! Looks like Obama (US) is handing the reins over on Libya to Europe, pretty smart on his part, now maybe the middle east can hate someone else for awhile..
Leaning more towards realistic. The base model that I started off was more stylized with the proportions. The one thing in particular that seems to be staring me in the face this morning is the legs in comparison to everything else... lol. Thanks for taking a look ^^
Thanks for the feed back. I think the wood was glossy to start with but because I applied so many roughness alphas and smart masks, it took the shine away. You can see it trying to come through the dirt in this image.
Hey all, great to see this workflow getting the coverage it deserves, nice write ups obscura! I thought I'd add my experience to the mix, as working on Star Citizen this has been integral to our pipeline for a while now. It was pushed through by my good buddy/mentor/3D guruwizard Nathan Dearsley who'd also been the driving…
the game it's very unstable and it crash so often... it happens only to me? it was very stable when I bought it 4 month ago. The steam error that appear after the game crashed is " Start game Fail (application already strarted )"
Ran across this doing some research: Maya PaintFX Hair: Getting Started… His examples at the end are just for demonstration, with some smart placement I think it would look pretty sharp, and probably closer to the final fantasy hair.
Started working on a tiling floor material. About 3 hours spend on it. Modeled a highpoly, baked it on a plane, added a few rivets with NDO and threw it in DDO. Did not do any painting yet, these are all slightly modified smart materials.
Ahh you guys are too fast, heh. But it takes time to think up subliminal signals. Just stare at the moving lights until it starts to slow down then do what the voices in your head are telling you to do... it will be ok.
Fail! Apparently I messed up my centerline, so smart resym isn't working anymore. Soooo I'll have to start over. I'll be sure to give the shoulder more definition like you said. Thanks for the reply :)
