Xnormal can be setup to run in batch mode iirc. Here we use 3ds Max in batch mode to bake things. Either way, requires a bit of development effort. Need to standardize inputs, and refine output requirements, to get reliable results.
There was some great discussion and links about this kind of thing in the Backgrounds and skyboxes in Bad Company 2 thread. Though IIRC the techniques discussed there were more for "background" terrain rather than "playable" terrain. EDIT: Thanks for the great workflow suggestions Autocon.
Theres an option to have your material render as a wireframe material. In extreme cases you could apply this mat to every static mesh in your scene when you need it then remove it when you don't But I think it looks nasty iirc
YES! I can't believe I forgot to mention that in my post but yeah, Illustrator is great for UI too, for obvious reasons. IIRC Scaleform uses Flash, which again works with vectors, so some vector training would be useful there too.
Lol its Mango and Magno! IRL / nick! It could definetely be a sweet courier and have mentioned it as a possibility to reuse! You have your panda bear + courier, so could see something similar with this. But for now its a deathward to go with our set!
I absolutely love the painting so far! Beautiful hand painted textures. Her eyes feel a little bit off to the sides of her head though. Realistically, the Iris lines up with the corner of the mouth. She looks a little stretched ;p
I added a splash of colour by adding in some fish. There's a pun in there somewhere, I'll let you try and find it, and when you do, tell me where it is. Final scene (inc. props and pedestal); 848 polys / 1,461 tris with 2x dif.
Polycount runners are really that irked about GA? Hey, I know it's called Dominance "War" but it's meant for everyone to come together as one and do something together, even if you're repping someone else. This is for the love of 3d. C'MON, THE LOVE GUYS! <3
Looking a lot better. One thing that stands out to me still is the eyes. They seem quite flat and the iris seems bit flat in color oppose to the variants of color in the eye that Ellie has in Last of Us. Keep up the good work :D
Wow! Great improvement, tt's so cool to see from where you started and where you are right now. That iris... :o really dig it. Someday I might go back to see my first sculpts and publish them hahaha
