"Time" is just a float value that increases on every frame. So you can just have a scalar parameter or constant to imitate "static time". -

looks cool, on the jump animation I would not have it look like they are floating after they leap. one of the legs should be lunging forward right? -

The only thing that comes to mind without seeing the file is if those ports on the high poly are floating geo and they're intersecting with the rest of the back plate. -

Okay great. With the floating planes. If i was to export my model to Unreal 3 etc would i need to export that along with the Decal planes? -

It needs some sort of shadow under the sword for the render.. cause right now it looks like it is floating. Try doing an ambient occlusion pass. -

I cant use floating geometry. Its just the high poly model. No baking any normals. It has to look like the real thing. -

So a sticky for desktops, one for laptops, another few dozen floating around for netbooks...don't see splitting it up like that as a good idea.
