I think I will bring this thread back to life. Finally can release this guy 121B - created in 2015. The upgraded version of the 121 Chinese medium tank, developed in the 1960s. Unlike the prototype, the 121B was equipped with a modern 105-mm rifled gun, improved suspension, and reinforced front armor. The vehicles of this…
So I finished my first playthrough on the Engineer (Aegis Tanktastic Build). Game is pretty awesome. ONLY complaint is lack of story, but the sheeeeer fun factor, the gameplay, the quest design totally overshadow any complaint I could have. I'm going to invest a hell of a lot more time in this game making alts than I did…
This has come along a bit since I've seen it last. The windows are still one of the weaker elements visually, this could be down to both the texture and material needing work. For now I'd ignore the larger idea of a scene and focus on the building until you're 100% happy. I'd still recommend looking at Assassin's Creed…
I heard about that, I dont use 3dsmax though,, only maya which has a lame "reduce" function. I downloaded the trial ver of polycruncher and I managed to get it down to 300 tris while still looking good. *Set the document size (2048x2048 ) *Load your ztools *Place them on ur document making sure not to touch the border…
I have been dancing around IGDA for the very same reason! ( any discussion would just disappear ) But I have been to some awesome meeting in different areas of the country. In the early 2003 to 2005 I thought Austin had some great awesome meetings like the ones with great visiting speakers like, Alienbrain and Pop Cap. I…
I´m currently working on a lot of 3d scans too. I did some quick geometry changes in zBrush and then exported the highres and lowres mesh as OBJ files. I did my uvs with uv layout and have a lot of islands. Normaly it shouldn´t matter how many islands you got. I´m baking my displacement and cavitymaps with xNormal. For the…
OA was going to be that and a bag of chips, but a lack of concrete direciton turned that into a mess. Programming wasn't an issue as it was literally new original data for a just-open-sourced polycounter's favorite game and I figured that would be a win-win. In the end, polycounter involvement was weapon icons, some weapon…
I think you've misunderstood my point, when I say "largest images" I mean on average, when you download a page and sort by file size all the PNGs float to the top. Are there some huge jpegs in there? Sure. But by and large they are PNGs. This is all ignoring the main issue though, I highlighted that 29mb PNG as an example…

Did you start your DDO project with the UE4 preset as well? Selecting the appropriate preset in the beginning tells DDO which maps to load by default, which in this case it seems like you loaded something using the Specular/Gloss workflow, instead of the Metalness/Roughness one that UE4 supports. I would read up on the…
