Redid the unwrap, still some issues, but I will just take that into account for the next organiclike unwrap. Also found a wee little time to do a quick blockout for a buttress.
Colour blockout done. looks like a cartoon at the moment :/ will help when i start texturing i think. baked the gun aswell and started to block out the texture.
Looking solid with the blockout at the moment, make sure you don't make your textures too clean, and the key will be to make the lighting really strong in this piece, keep it up :)
Finished this guy up (for now). Calling this stage 1 of the project, I want to return eventually and give him a body, poor guy. Hair is just blockout/wip
Hmmmm, I assume the blockout helps you get a feel for the shapes without having to wonder about optimisation or topology ? Should probably start doing this myself then. :p
It is quite simple. Just blockout the shapes and make use of polygroups sculpt out more efficient and with ease. Add thickness where it is needed. Have a look here and here.
Finally got some time to work on it, finished the rough blockout, and fixed the back arch and flat chest a little. Still gotta make some work on the shape though.
I'm continuing my blockout/ hi-poly part of modelling this pistol.I still have a tons work to do, but, as for me, this gun have potential to became pretty nice.
Proxy / Blockout of the scene. Expanded it a little bit. In the game Sherlock Holmes, which this concept art was made for, this room is really small. Might add more stuff soon.
