if those are supposed to be windows, i would move those white lights down toward the vent looking things or just get rid of them. Also, your paint damage doesn't wrap around edges or just ends with a straight edge and that looks "lazy." You seem to have plenty of ideas for where this is going, so get to it.
Pack your computer/monitor with as many blankets/pillows/bubble wrap as possible because the shipping services are going to literally throw your shit around not caring what's in it at all (I had a few friends at Fedex and UPS working in the warehouses). Also, buy an external enclosure for your HD and just take it with you…
Love the flying body language... that tail between the legs :) Not sure about the armor though - it seems a little just stuck on there. Maybe look up some references to leather armor... and see how you could make it wrap around the legs, and/or make it like a vest on the chest. Looks pretty good though. Good luck :)
http://www.gc-academy.net Can't say I have experience with this group but the rigging class is taught by rich damiant soo... I'm also looking for more info on rigging. Specifically the setting up of control rigs. Also I'm not sure you should dismiss max so quickly. It has features like skin wrap
Selfish bump - and a question! So I feel like this should be simple but I just can't seem to wrap my head around this one. Is there a way to terminate a single edge loop that is otherwise ending as an n-gon rather than loop it around the entire mesh? The attached picture should make it more clear. Thanks in advanced!
I think its a good start. I would suggest taking some time and doing a study on cobblestone. Right now I think its lacking a lot of color and the spec map is not really helping right now. It has a very plastic wrap look to it at the moment. Also what engine are you rendering this in right now?
I've been searching around the MB 2009 trial threads and there isn't any indication that a wrap mode for brushes has been added : ( *Edit* To clarify what I just said. I was referring only to mudbox. I've seen the zbrush solution and god do I wish mb had incorporated that into the new release.
::voff:: I'm working on a website for my portfolio. Right now, this is my only work online at the moment. ::blitz:: thanks for the encouragement:) ::JonathanF:: that steering wheel was fun. I think i'll revisit tho. I have an idea to make it look more like tied down/wrapped around leather cloth. Thanks! -Phil
it's only relatively recently that "twat" became offensive again. In the 70s and early 80s it was considered okay for family consumption (erk) ... check out the opening titles of Fawlty Towers in that one episode (Flowery Twats), or Rik Mayall as Kevin Turvey shouting "yeah the same to you with bogeys wrapped round it, you…
not to nitpick, but isn't the recommended tri count for dooms first lod 1k? you have a normal map? but it looks like you're using separate smoothing groups for edges.. sorta defeats the purpose of the normal map. also, you may want to get ride of the cuts in the handle. having the wraps modeled in is wayyy to much detail.
