After some time, I finally have time to focus all my time on this contest. This is my rough blockout for the level. Should have another post by the end of the week, maybe sooner.
having worked on the past 3 settlers titles, i have to say, it's all waaaaay too straight. you need to make it much more crooked, the main shapes have to be in the blockout already.
Really awesome layout and scale. As others have said, that is a ton for one person to do beyond the blockout but good luck to you with wherever you plan to take it! I love the feel of the environment.
Yeah seconding what Millenia said. You really need a blockout to work from. Also paintovers and ref boards. Going in like this wont get you far I don't think.
Hey fellas! Thanks for the crits. This is def not the complete Low Poly model, I should have said that my blockout was done. Anyway, I will start getting it ready for the high. Stay tuned!
Day 3, done with torso blockout and now starting on plate build-up and general refinements of shape. shoulders and neck are set up mostly as intended, will probably go over them later in.
Hey dude, thanks. If your speaking of the two large underside/rear area cylinders in the last image, those are just sizing blockouts for engines that I'm working on. Sorry I forgot to mention that
Todays progress. Will do more texturevariations for the advertisements. Houses are still blockout, just applied my street texture as a placeholder. Currently not too sure how to make the transition between walls and houses..
Hi, all, Decided to start a new scene after a few days of pondering on what I should do next. This is currently pretty early but I hope to make this blockout make look interesting.
Hi everyone ! Here's the level i'm currently working a course in my school. It is just the blockout for the moment, it has to be a sci-fi duel map for Unreal Tournament. As always, C&C are very welcome, thanks ! :)
