Shouldn't be any troubles, we routinely mix 64-bit and 32-bit TSVN clients at work, no problems. Maybe you'll need to make sure the server install is 32-bit (no idea if there's even a 64-bit SVN server), but the client makes no difference, it all gets committed the same way as far as I can tell.
Personally, I've switched to windaz xp 64 and I've noticed huge improvements in max, even while using max9 32bit. e.g. while working with 1mil polys max would be practically crawling, and right now, after upgrading both OS and max at 64 bit I can work at more than 2mil.
The Mesh is using 64 as the resolution at the moment. It's better to pre-determine the result you are going for in the final image. I usually prefer 64 res. lightmaps, 1024x1024 texture resolution per Meter, which makes things look consistent and pretty.
nope no polies left sorry mate... although once its been juged for the comp im gonna add another 64*64 for extra details , fireball and mouth... and i may add those extra pollys too cheers Jody

I'd say Goldeneye 007 and Super Mario 64 would fall under timeless too for your reason above. They were the first of their kind. Though Mario 64's controls were alright, Goldeneye's controls just don't hold up anymore.
Can someone explain to me the benefits of having 64 bit support for anything being good? I've never owned a 64 bit system, and only due to the limitations on software/products as i've come to hear about. But i'd still like to know nevertheless? :)
I've had a similar issue with vista 64 and tracked it down to my wireless card not supporting 64 bit windows properly... might be a similar issue as mine would only lock up every so often, but it always happened when there was high bandwidth usage.

I read over at the Area that Autodesk isn't going to release a 64 bit trial for download due to cutting costs for having to host two separate versions. The only way to get the trial in 64 bit is to get a trial DVD from an Autodesk reseller. Here's the link to that discussion over at the Area:…
