if you hold ctrl + alt it behaves like the old tool would. I don't think there is a way to set that as default. In fact I don't think you can set any new defaults in the UV editor for things like relax or pack dialog menus. I think setting new hotkeys works but any other defaults, forget it. The last one I saw with a GPU was the HP tx2500. It had an ATI HD3000 in it. I know the new tablets are expensive but frankly drawing directly on the screen has definite advantages. People don't hate styluses. They hate obligatory styluses. For most uses it's much nicer to just use a finger, so old tablets (optimized for stylii) feel clunky.
