True, it doesn't happen with guns. Instead, it usually happens with bombs. In their 25 year campaign, the IRA killed 115 people in Britain and wounded 2134 more, despite Britain's much stricter laws governing firearms. Numbers via wikipedia.
if your alpha is a separate file and your engine allows separate alpha file (UE3 does iirc) then you're fine, but some engines only support alpha from the diffuse alpha channel, so it can be a case by case scenario
https://www.artstation.com/bobya the joan of arc was my first character, it took me exactly 52 days. i made the mushroom knight as an experiment to see what I can make under a week, I made that in 5 days.
That is a fun looking beast. Goodluck getting that skin right. I think your tail fin needs more spines and the torso fin needs to seem more fin like. Yours looks like a high arcing spine atm. :)
I drove through the rockies last week in the middle of the night, with dirty headlamps on snow covered roads. That was a Silent Hill Experience IRL if I ever had one. I remember Carmageddon using something similar, but it was pure darkness.
I don't know about cube maps but maybe this thread will help clear things up for you. IIRC it's more of an issue of baking the lighting info, maybe a dynamically lit object such as a typical weapon won't suffer from these problems.
Well the ceo is Sergey titov, he made big rigs... he actully sold 50.000 copy's of that and made 1mil profit on it. War inc was a decent game in alpha/cbt it had so much potential but sergey fucked it up.
Hito there is lots of movement in there but some of the steps doesn't have weight and the arcs are all ove rthe place. Just make it feel like a horse doing the dance and you're probably all set. That is, make it heavier with some better holds.
AH the good ol' joan of arc tut. My first character tutorial as well. I had to apply it to maya, but to this day its still one the finest resources I remember using, great technique and technical points made in it.
Thanks a lot, chrisradsby! I will definitely have a look at that. The pupil looks a bit too large though, don't you think? I think I'll decrease the size somewhat. I'll keep the iris about the same size though.
