Funny i asked the very same question a few weeks ago (like 3 months ago) now and the same per128 came in to derail my thread oh! .. lesson learned go over cgtalk.com where per128 can't access. I guess if i was you i would go for the highpoly and save my file while modeling, this way you can re-access the lowerpoly version… -

I'm thinking that Vic is going to get laid out by Philly's 260 lb freakishly fast middle linebacker, Jeremiah Trotter. It'll be all downhill for the Falcons after that, and Philly will win. Re: Nvidia Beta Drivers adds AO to games
Tried these drivers out last night. They don't seem very stable. I turned the AO on Globally, and didn't notice the AO in TF2. I did have screen flickering from time to time, and a minor lag issue. Vista64, Dual GTX 260's So yeah, not so stable for me. :) -

Ok guys once again thanks for jumping in to help. Right i've used D3DXCached meshes on and off with no real effect. My stack is edit poly / turbosmooth / edit poly. This is max 2k9 so no graphite tools. Its just as slow with max2010. Also tried the same file at home and it was just as slow. My home machine is the same i7… -

a nice athlon64 3200 is pretty much today's average computer, and those a64 3800 x2's are doing well too or if you're feeling like a cheapy, get a socket 754 mobo and a sempron 2600 and overclock that sucker to 2ghz for performance pretty equal to that of an athlon64 3200, but with alot less price. 128kb l2 cache isn't…
