I'm not sure, but maybe your mesh has "bad" transformations. Have you tried reseting xform? Per poly collision as an alternative? -

Plug in a component mask in front of vector transform. This will make your material work, but I don't know how to solve the green line. -

Loving 3 so far, EQ. One niggly thing for me is the transform gizmo. It seems to require almost pixel-perfect accuracy. -

Max : Reset Xforms, two times, then convert to editpoly ; Maya : Delete All History, Freeze Transformations and you're good to go :P -

Check that your transforms are frozen, uv unwraps ignore any scaling you may have on the model, so it "thinks" that wall is shorter. -

Hi, if you're looking for a temporary pivot to perform transformations of sub object selections, and are under 3ds Max 2008+, look for Working Pivot. -

Show us how you're trying to hook it up. The most basic implementation would be (Reflection Vector > Vector Transform > Cubemap) + Diffuse
