OK, I was trying the layer brush with drag rect method and a depth grabbed alpha, pretty standard technique. I have back face masking enabled too. Here are a couple of screens grabs, the first shows the aforementioned technique and the second is what I am getting from projection master: cheers, K
Install from file, places it into a folder, which doesn't work since it's missing a __init__ file(I think) I just tried it, if you place weight color.py in Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.78\scripts\addons (Restart Blender/Reload Scripts) then enable the addon, it shows up.
I talked a little bit with Jeff and he told me that SLI should work, but it looks like something is getting in the way of it being enabled for the second card. This could be due to driver issues or something else, its hard to say. Can you try updating to the latest drivers and see if that makes any difference?
@MightyPea @McGreed could you guys please send me details via PM? I'm writing up a bug report, so I need your technical info. Browser version, OS, what options you have enabled in your profile, screenshots of error messages if any, etc. Thank you.
Also, just enabled distance field, and same stuff... hm.... EDIT: Upon further investigation, I found that using the foliage tool, the shadows work. It seems that the "landscape grass type" is what is causing the shadows issue. So now to find out what would fix that. Here is a link to the picture with the Foliage tool
That lighting doesn't look built - double check that you have the static channel enabled on the light (dynamic lights aren't baked in during light builds). To reduce light build times try setting the shadow resolution on the BSP to a higher number - especially on the sides and bottom of the BSP block as you'll never see…
Well, usually a black image when baking if you have matching by name enabled means the low poly and high-poly mesh didn't match at all. If you import the high and low poly mesh together in the same Maya LT scene, do they overlap properly ? Do they share the same naming convention ?
actually, oniram showed me a cooltrick by using scanline with light tracer(default settings). under the render setup you set filter to catmul-rom and enable global supersampling with hammersley at 1.0 quality. then set you apply a white material to the high poly and boom, eliminates the wierd AO errors with floating…
Regarding the lack of shadows, try to enable lightmapping on all major meshes. Go to the static mesh editor for each of the meshes and input a number for lightmap resolution, but don't go too high with it, there's no need. Then go into each instance of the mesh and scroll all the way down in their properties and uncheck…
If you've got a free Vimeo account then it enables you to download the video file as a .mp4 for the first 7 days (might be 30) from when it was uploaded, so it's then suitable for off-line viewing. Many thanks roosterMAP for creating these vids and sharing them here with people. Looking forward to giving them a watch soon.
