Any comments for us? And Razorb, I'm with Grim Fate, not Deadskins, but we share a deadline. We have the rest of this school quarter to finish these, if I'm not mistaken. That amounts to about 9 weeks or so left of work. Boy is it coming up quick!
I tried once to get some work there...In 2 months all I had to show was a -9 USD balance and a second place "competition" type project, were client picks a winning design. Yeah, second place earns nothing.
Week 9! I'm planning to use this mesh to learn rigging after the final sculpt submission, so I redid the topology for the face. I got some good recommendations for more forehead and ear loops, and this has the former but not the latter (yet).
I'm trying to figure out what you mean at 9:30ish when you say "I have the T key bound to the polytool optimize, which is a really neat tool...." Can someone tell me where this tool is? Thanks!
crit - i am pretty sure humans have more than 9 strands of hair, as you can see here : https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1133/5166846313_4e66edaef4_z.jpg but its a good start, keep up the good work : p
Hey there! If you look at page 9 or 10 of the FAQ you can get some more detailed answers, but the short verion- no frame limit for animations, but keep it reasonable. Animations do not have to follow in-game rules, they are looking for good animation.
After 7 hours‘ baking, the result is like this So it is sure something goes wrong. But If I just turn down 1 subdivision in zbrush and re-export the high poly mesh (about 9 million tris), everything goes right.
wow, I never saw all of the options to download open gl, directx 9 and cuda, even stated that my vid card is supported, (ati 9200) and now the download link is broken... just found the proper link in the forums, will try this out tomorrow, thanks.
So...Reallusion seems to be dragging their feet with the software. I emailed them 9 days ago asking for the competition copy they're advertising and basing this entire competition on, their last response was six days ago and still nothing. This doesn't make for very good promotion material...
Is no.9 a bit harsh? Like, I get the motif is not be generic but is storytelling always necessary when your purpose is just to create a scene? At the end of the day, isn't it Art Directors that decide the narrative? I'm not sure how much input environment artists have (if any).
