[ QUOTE ] does it still cost 50 bucks? is the game fun? *shrug* [/ QUOTE ] I don't get why people keep excusing it with responses like this. Would you ask the same if the box had a magic gnome that humps you in the ass as soon as you install the game? Hey, the game is still fun... I guess I can learn to ignore the gnome in…
Looks like you didn't read very much. Two posts above yours, I answered your 1st question. As for your 2nd question, Wrath answered it about 1/2 way through the thread. Your last question is a matter of personal preference, there's no one magical method. The best way is what lights well in your situation. IMHO…
Edit > Snap Settings... ...and set the position values to the multiple of 0.0195 (or whatever magic number you decide on) that you need. Then you can select everything in your scene, choose Snap All Axes, and it should (*touch wood*) snap them all for you. Might not work (we use the vertex snapping that SanderDL describes,…
sooooo I managed to "fix" my problems with the batch bake artifacting. In this particular case I combined my mesh with a Uv'ed primative cube. Exported them out and just imported them back into maya. magic! it worked. Which is strange because I feel like I already tried this method. But the solution seems to make sense…
The answer is they/you put in enough hours to learn what they need to learn. There is no magic number here. Head down and chair in, get the work done and you'll be fine. 1 hour, 10 hours, irrelevant for learning and growing. That said, knowing your capabilities as an artist when it comes to being in a professional…
in Skyrim is pisses me off sometimes in Dungeons where I have to fight against a "boss" and they can kill me in 1-2 hits from a distance even (Magic), and they even have a summoned helper as well. So its like... theres no way in hell I can kill it at my level, so I have to break the AI pathfinding to beat them.
Super congratz Artem! Really glad I got to meet you while at Bungie as your work has always been so inspirational. I think I figured out why your so good though. You are just cheating. You have Art in your name! That must give you like +20 Art Magic Points right off the bat.
A way to see values calculated inside function nodes would improve legibility tremendously when creating new empty nodes. For example if two float value nodes are added together, seeing the result in the addition node would help. Some sample FX graphs do some very interesting things but it's very hard to understand the…
So cool! I've been wanting to make a magic book myself =D I love the modeling and detailing of the table. Some notes: the texturing of the table feels sort of uniform. the wear is pretty similar all over, as well as the coloring. And the texture of the paper has an indistingishable material. I would imagine the paper to be…
Thank you for your comment but honestly, what good would that do? It's not like I'm going to magically find out how to fix this problem by starting with easier objects. I already know how to make edges, I'm just asking for advice on methods of doing things. I'd think that said advice would come from people more experienced…
