Polyunwrapper's packing tools are fantastic improvements to the default Max Unwrap UVW tools - especially the built-in pixel padding for the shells that you can set up to 32 pixels IIRC. Even that alone is worth the price of the script.

I think the reason why the eye looks peculiar from a distance is that because his iris is so pale, it blends in with the white so you can only see the pupil. It might be worth trying a darker colour.

Turtle irises tend to either match the camouflage or are a reddish-orange rather than yellow, sometimes having a colored area around the iris. You might also want to consider adding more colorful stripes to the turtle.
Rumkugel: The edges on the handguard are really small IRL no dust catches there, also most people have the left hand on the handguard so if any dust would catch there you would wipe it really easy just by holding it.
IIRC their terms said no commercial use with the free version. Not that this is going to stop some people, but it's better to be honest in the world of software development, since if you're a game artist you are depending on people buying your own software.
