Nice observation Ivanzu. I love the random normal popping in the brick work and I can totaly feel the focus per asset which is needed! A lot of artists will bang-out as much as they can to make the cut and fix up whats needed but your attention to detail is spot on. Subbed, good luck!
bricks are ace dude! question: are you using basic lighting at this point or are you vertex lighting it at the moment? Either way looking incredible and looking forward to more! (if you paint some more stones do a little vid of it , I always love to see peoples approaches to hand painted stuff :D)

yes you should be able to generate a seamless mesh. youve gone very high, with this now, when i said about adding the groves between the bricks i meant in ZB, i reakon you could getthe same shape (minus corner sillohette) with a better rounder arch for half the tris.
nice! do textures use specular any normal maps? they seem to be reacting to the light in ways that diffuse-only textures can't. unless it's some illusion. i gotta say that i'm not sure what's the wall supposed to be made of though. it's too red to be concrete, too contineous to be bricks and too smooth to be wood.
I'm still practicing anatomy. I got to the forearms today before hitting a brick wall. I need a lot more practice with them so any advice or images that could help with that would be great. I just blocked in the head and legs didn't really do much with them sculpting wise.
I recommend going to a brick-n-mortar shop and actually trying them out. Earscrews are very subjective. If you're unscrupulous, leave the store and buy them online. Last year, one of the guys here bought these headphones for everyone at work. Nice. I like 'em. Cool cans btw hawken.
also with the big gaps between the planks it looks more like a brick wall than wooden planks. agree on the size and length of the lower ones. and why are they getting thinner at the bottom shouldnt they be averagely same wifth? i would also define the edges more and as deathstick said add more color variation.
Thanks guys. I'll work on the rocks some more. :) Just a small update for now, I finished the bricks for the base of the windmill. Here's the texture breakdown: Next, I'll be working on the roof sculpt, and then I'll soon be ready to work on the actual modeling! Any feedback on the work I have so far is appreciated.
metal slug is the best series of games evar... I like it but the leaves dont say metal slug to me. The strong black outlines on them and the bricks aren't really how teh environments in the games are. Try outlines using the same but darker color or something... I like what you are doing though!
